  美國Iowa State University的Patrick Schnable教授是中國農(nóng)業(yè)大學農(nóng)學與生物技術學院植物遺傳育種系長江學者客座教授,是玉米基因組學、功能基因組學和雜種優(yōu)勢遺傳機理研究領域世界知名科學家。Patrick Schnable教授2011年在植物遺傳育種系繼續(xù)招收碩士研究生,在中國農(nóng)業(yè)大學完成碩士階段的學習和碩士研究論文工作,主要從事玉米基因組生物信息學相關研究,如通過全基因組序列分析,解析位點多態(tài)性與遺傳重組的關系等。Patrick Schnable教授主要通過來北京工作和網(wǎng)絡視頻實驗室會議等方式具體指導研究工作。具體要求:
   1、符合中國農(nóng)業(yè)大學2011年碩士研究生復試條件的第一志愿和調(diào)劑考生。
   2、有較強的英語交流能力。
   3、有良好的生物學基礎,對生物信息學和基因組學分析有濃厚興趣。
   4、有較強的計算機使用能力,熟悉或能較快掌握生物信息學軟件及其工作平臺(如Linux等),具備編程或能較快學習計算機編程能力。
   5、英文簡歷(Resume)和申請信(Personal statement )。
